This easy, healthy, and absolutely delicious cheese pie will become your new favorite! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or as a savory snack. Made with simple ingredients and ready in no time. It also works beautifully as part of an aperitivo spread — if you're planning drinks before dinner, our guide to Italian aperitivo drinks beyond Aperol pairs perfectly with a slice.

This cheese pie is finished with a generous drizzle of olive oil — learn the difference between cooking and finishing olive oil to know which to reach for at that final step. For more Greek-inspired recipes that pair perfectly with a glass of white, try baked cuttlefish or this crispy Mediterranean cabbage salad on the side.

Mix the Wet Ingredients

Step 1: Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.

Add the Yogurt and Oil

Add the yogurt, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Incorporate the Flour

Stir in the self-rising flour until smooth.

Fold in the Feta

Grease the Pan

Pour, Top and Drizzle

Pour in the mixture, drizzle a few extra drops of olive oil on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake Until Golden

Bake on air setting at 180°C (350°F) for 35 minutes, or until golden and set.

Cool and Serve

Let it cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Pair it with a chilled glass of Gratsi White light, crisp, and the perfect match for creamy feta. A little Greek joy in every bite and sip! Want to build a full Mediterranean spread? Our arancini (Sicilian fried rice balls) recipe is the perfect dish to serve alongside it. For another golden, crispy bite that disappears fast at any table, our panzarotti (deep-fried Italian pockets) are just as crowd-pleasing.

Looking for something lighter alongside? Our caponata siciliana brings a sweet and sour Sicilian contrast that balances the richness of the feta beautifully. And if you're going all out for guests, fritto misto rounds out the table with a classic Italian crispy mix.
