Catching Up with Paulina the Buffalo

It’s been more than a year since we met Paulina, the baby buffalo we adopted in Campania. Back then she followed Luca around the farm, curious and a little unsure on her feet. Now she’s grown into a strong, calm presence, spending her days near the stables where she was born.

A man wearing a blue shirt and shorts stands in a pen, petting a black buffalo. More buffalo are in the fenced enclosure, and farm buildings are visible in the background under a blue sky. A black buffalo with yellow ear tags stands in a sunny, fenced enclosure, facing the camera closely with a pink rope around its neck. The ground is dirt, and the sky is clear blue.

Life on the Farm, One Year On

Life on the farm hasn’t changed much, early mornings, and the quiet sound of the herd moving together. Paulina has become part of that rhythm, cared for by the same hands that raised her. She’s bigger now, but still carries the same calm spirit that made us fall in love with her in the first place. Life on a Mediterranean farm is endlessly inspiring — bring the spirit indoors with a Mediterranean Holiday Gift Guide, pack for the season ahead with Mediterranean Must-Haves: Packing Tips for a Summer Getaway, or graze through a colorful Mediterranean Platter. Pour a glass of Gratsi White Wine and enjoy the slow life.
