A timeless Tuscan antipasto, these Bruschette deliver creamy, savory, and rustic flavors in every bite. For more Italian antipasto ideas, our Fiori di Zucca Fritti are a show-stopping starter, while Stuffed Mushrooms with White Wine Mushroom Sauce make a beautiful complement. Round out the spread with a crowd-pleasing Spinach, Bean and Ricotta Dip.

STEP 1: Preheat and Slice the Bread
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the rustic loaf into semi-thick slices and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

STEP 2: Mix the Filling
In a bowl, mix together the sausage (casing removed) and stracchino cheese until smooth and fully combined.

STEP 3: Top the Bruschette
Spread a thin, even layer of the mixture onto each slice of bread, making sure it’s level to ensure even cooking.

STEP 4: Bake Until Golden
Bake for about 15 minutes, until the sausage is cooked through and the cheese is melted and lightly golden. After baking, switch to broil for a few minutes to create a crispy top.
STEP 5: Finish and Garnish
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper, and garnish with fresh rosemary. Enjoy it fresh from the oven with a carafe of Gratsi Red, just the way they do at a Tuscan table. Buon Appetito!
