There are combinations that surprise you, and this is one of them. Cool, crisp and quietly refreshing. Melon and mint together are something you don't see coming but immediately understand.

A smiling woman in a striped shirt stands in a kitchen with a Gratsi box, a bouquet of colorful flowers, a bottle of sparkling water, a bowl of melon, mint leaves, and a jigger on the counter. A woman in a striped shirt stands in a kitchen, smiling and holding up a cocktail and a box labeled GRATSI. A vase of flowers is on the counter behind her.

STEP 1

Make melon juice
Blend melon chunks until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve pressing with a spoon. You need ¾ cup of liquid. Can be made up to 1 day ahead and refrigerated.

A blender cup filled with a creamy orange smoothie sits on its base. In the background, there are pink flowers, a pale green box labeled GRA, and a sliced melon with visible seeds. A hand pours a peach-colored smoothie from a glass into an ornate clear glass. Nearby are pink flowers, half a cantaloupe, a mint sprig, and a cream-colored box labeled GRATS. All items rest on a marble counter. A hand pours a clear liquid into a glass with an orange drink. Nearby are a vase of pink flowers, a half cantaloupe, mint leaves, a GRATS! box, and a glass pitcher on a wooden board against a gray background.

STEP 2

Build the glasses (or pitcher)
Combine the melon juice, Gratsi White Wine, lime juice, and honey. Stir, then top with club soda and mint. Clap the mint leaves between your palms to release the oils before adding.

A hand drizzles honey from a golden spoon into a glass of melon-colored drink on a wooden board. A half cantaloupe, pink flowers, and a framed sign are in the background. A glass of orange melon drink with foam on top is being poured from a bottle. Beside it are a halved cantaloupe, a candle, a flower vase with pink blossoms, and a box labeled GRATEFUL. A hand stirs an orange cocktail in a glass with a golden twisted spoon. The drink is on a wooden board, next to a candle, a half cantaloupe, pink flowers, and a box labeled GRAS.

STEP 3

Serve
Garnish with melon slices and a fresh mint sprig fanned out inside the glass.

A hand garnishes a glass of orange melon drink with a mint leaf. Beside the drink are a halved melon, sprigs of mint, a vase of pink flowers, and a white box labeled SATSI on a light surface. A glass of orange melon cocktail garnished with melon slices and mint sits on a wooden board. Beside it are a halved cantaloupe, a candle, pink flowers in a vase, and a box labeled GRATS. A woman in a striped shirt smiles while holding three glasses of orange-colored drinks in a kitchen. A beige GRATS! box sits on the countertop in front of her.

Note:

The melon juice base can be made up to a day ahead and refrigerated, making this easy to batch for a pitcher: just combine the melon-juice, mint, lime, and wine in a pitcher and top with soda per glass when serving. Honeydew gives a pale green, delicate flavor; cantaloupe is sweeter and more golden – both are stunning. Watermelon juice is a great summer swap for a brighter pink version. Lime juice can be swapped for lemon if that's what you have.
