Leslie's Kitchen: Stuffed Pasta Shells

What I love about this dish is that there are so many variations to try! I added ground sausage however, you can leave that out and go with straight cheese or maybe add in some spinach. The possibilities are endless!
Ingredients:
• 24 jumbo pasta shells cooked according to manufacturers instructions.
• 15 ounces ricotta cheese
• 3 1/2 cups, mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided in two
• 2 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
• Salt and pepper to taste
• One egg
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• About 3 cups or one jar of marinara sauce
• 1 pound ground pork, sausage, cooked

• 15 ounces ricotta cheese
• 3 1/2 cups, mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided in two
• 2 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
• Salt and pepper to taste
• One egg
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• About 3 cups or one jar of marinara sauce
• 1 pound ground pork, sausage, cooked
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 9 x 13“ pan with butter or oil.
- In a large skillet, brown pork sausage and set aside.
- Cook pasta shells according to manufacturers instructions.
- Spread half the marinara sauce on the bottom of the pan.
- Place the ricotta cheese, half the mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese, and sausage in a bowl. Stir to combine.
- Fill each pasta shell with ricotta cheese mixture and place in baking dish.
- Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover and bake for about 20 minutes. Uncover and bacon. Additional 10 minutes or until all the cheese is golden brown on top.
