A small change, because you asked for it.
How To Open Your New Gratsi Tap
By the Gratsi Team
A quick note before we get into it: we made a change, and it's because of you.
For a stretch, we shipped a European-style tap that didn't need a seal removed. Sounded great in theory: one less step, one less thing to throw away. In practice, a lot of you told us the first pour was harder than it should be. You had to break the internal seal yourself by lifting the tabs with a little more force than felt natural, and that's not the Gratsi way. Wine should be easy.
So we listened. We're back to the tap most of you already knew and loved. One small seal to peel, then you're pouring. That's it.
Here's how it works.
Step 1. Pop the panel.
Punch through and tear away the perforated, striped circle on the front of the box. It's designed to pop clean. Easy and satisfying.
Step 2. Pull the tap out.
Gently pull the spigot forward and cradle it on the circular cutout.
Step 3. Tear off the seal.
Pull off the small tamper seal on the front of the tap. That's the only piece you'll ever need to remove. From here on, the tap takes care of itself.
Step 4. Get the box where you want it.
On the counter, on the patio table, on a picnic blanket. Hold it by the strap or set it down. Wherever you are, it's ready.
Step 5. Lift the red tabs and pour.
Lift the side tabs up to release the wine. Have your glass ready (a Bacaro glass, of course). When you let go, the tap closes itself. No twisting, no resealing, no mess.
That's it. Five steps, about thirty seconds, no corkscrew required.
Thanks for telling us what worked and what didn't. Fewer steps means more time at the table. Fewer instructions means more room for conversation. That's the whole point.
Salute.
