Experience the bold and rustic charm of our Pizza Puttanesca, where the robust flavors of anchovies, olives, and capers meet the sweet zest of San Marzano tomatoes. It’s easy to make and even easier to love, perfect for dinner with friends or a cozy night at home.

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough or homemade dough
  • 1 can (400g) crushed San Marzano tomatoes
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 6-8 anchovy filets in olive oil, chopped (or a small tin of tuna, drained)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat

  1. Stretch out the pizza dough to your desired thickness on a lightly floured surface.

  2. Spread the crushed San Marzano tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  3. Distribute the chopped anchovy filets evenly over the pizza.
  4. Scatter the Kalamata olives, capers, and thinly sliced garlic over the sauce.

  5. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and tear fresh basil on top of the pizza.
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza to a preheated oven (475°F or higher) and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are slightly charred.
  7. Once out of the oven, sprinkle dried oregano and torn fresh basil leaves over the top.

  8. Slice and serve hot. Add red pepper flakes for extra heat if desired.
  9. Enjoy your delicious pizza puttanesca with a glass or two of your favorite Gratsi wine!
