This dish is the definition of an effortless meze. Sweet, caramelized figs paired with creamy baked feta make the perfect centerpiece for a gathering. It’s quick, elegant, and needs just a handful of ingredients—ideal for sharing with friends over a glass of Gratsi White and warm, crusty bread. This dish has the spirit of a slow Mediterranean afternoon — the kind you'd find on the Amalfi Coast in September or in a sun-drenched village along the hidden coastal gems of the Mediterranean. For something sweet to follow, our Greek Honey Cookies make the perfect ending.

STEP 1: Preheat and Place the Feta

Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) on the grill setting. Place the feta block in the center of the baking dish.

A wooden tray holds a bowl of pistachios, a glass, a jar, green figs (some whole, some halved showing red interiors), and a plate of white cheese next to a glass baking dish.

STEP 2: Add the Figs and Pistachios

Arrange the sliced figs around the cheese and scatter the chopped pistachios over the top.

STEP 3: Drizzle and Season

Drizzle with olive oil, honey and sprinkle dried oregano.

STEP 4: Bake Until Caramelized

Bake for about 35 minutes, until the figs are soft and caramelized, the pistachios lightly toasted, and the feta golden around the edges.

STEP 5: Serve Warm with Bread

Serve warm, straight from the dish, with plenty of baked bread for dipping.
